Suppressor on an XD?
I know, tax stamp, applicable laws, cleo/trust approval.....i know about all that already (been building a 300 whisper AR
Now, since i will have a completely silenced AR, I want to suppress my XD .45. My question is simple..... Does anyone make a suppressor for an XD.........does anyone make threaded barrels or adapter/boosters for suppressors for XDs? If nobody here has a better (read: cheaper) idea, i'm going to see if DeGroat tactical can custom fab one for me, as I've only heard good things about them. A 45 really is the perfect round for suppression, since even the +P rounds are still subsonic.....and my all black XD goes nicely with my EBR.

this might help with the threaded barrels, its the only place that i know of,
i think a suppressor on an XD will put extra wear on the slide and barrel because the barrel has to drop for the slide to go back and the extra weight will have more stress on them. but what do i know im just a kid (20) let us know what the outcome is, i was thinking of doing something around thous lines too https://www.efkfiredragon.com/search...=&sprice=&pg=6

Do a search for my screenname and EFK Firedragon... Maybe you'll have better luck than I did. For now, I have a suppressor and no barrel to attach it to. I'll be ordering a PG barrel eventually.

I did two more today. If you are going to do it, use a good barrel (ie. not EFK)
We have had good results with the GemTech cans.

I have not seen evidence of any QC standards from them. I've seen EFK barrels that should never made it in a package, let alone to a customer.
If you are investing in a suppressor you might as well get a good barrel.
