Just FYI on 4inch Service Threaded Barrels
Just wanted to let those looking into getting a threaded barrel for your XD Service model that the barrel has to be cut longer then "most" threaded barrels. This is due to the captive recoil spring and the front "nut" of the recoil assembly. When you shoot the slide comes back and the barrel comes out of battery and if it was cut "normal" then the suppressor would hit the front of the recoil assembly ending in a major malfunction (or just banging up your $500+ can). My barrel was made by Barsto and I sent it back (after waiting 3 months for production) for more "customization". I had them reduce the barrel length to as short as possible without the recoil spring hitting the back of the suppressor. They were awesome to work with and since they gave me the wrong specs (barrel length) at first, they applied the black passivate finish for wholesale cost! Great company and would highly recommend their products. Also that is a Sig thread protector which I think is better then the Barsto one because it protects the crown and has a o-ring to help keep it from unscrewing (Thanks to Micheal from usmachinegun.com)

IF you own a LEGAL full auto and wish to shoot it outdoors, in a LEGAL location, there is one problem that usually crops up: The sound of full auto fire carries a long way and draws attention. Someone calls the local law, they respond, not knowing if they have a terrorist training, a gangbanger hit or any number of things. The possibility of a legal weapon is down the list a ways, properly, due to caution. This can make for a bit of tension upon their arrivial at the scene, until the situation is understood that all is legal and they leave, or hang around to watch (maybe shoot if offered). With a suppressor, the sound doesn't carry as far, doesn't disturb the local hoplophobes, so the local law doesn't get called and no one gets nervous. Oh, there is ONE more reason....... Because I CAN!

If you set a new shooter up with a suppressed .45acp and don't tell them it's supposed to be a 'difficult' caliber to shoot, you will be amazed at their performance. Suppressors make shooting more comfortable and are great for beginners.

Yeah...guess no one has ever thought of getting suppressor sights...made by ameriglo I believe. Suppressing a XD is just like suppressing a sig p220 (just have to make sure you get a suppressor that provides a Nielsen device (ie AAC Evo .45) I called AAC personally (great company) and they said they have put plenty of suppressors on XD's with no problem.
