Thumbs up Just past my quals for my CCW with my XD45 :)

I just completed my NC CCW course here in Lenoir today and that was awesome.... My XD45acp performed flawlessly through at least 80 rnds for the day except for three limpwristing issues that happened during my first interlude into tactical training\shooting late in the day that I got into after my CCW course was over. I made pretty good groups at up to 21' only two misses at shots to the head that went barely off to the left and that was it during the ccw shooting qualifications and did decent against the steel during the tactical portion of the day. I love this gun no malfunctions even with BlackHils LSWC that I used except for the shooter errors mentioned above. If anybody in the Western NC region need any type of instruction I would highly recommend Randy Martin who was the instructor I chose and he and his assistants were awesome. Well you guys have a good night, I will definitely be sleeping good and I would definitely trust my XD with my life and the lives of my family but I have learned that the gun is just the tool the user is what makes or breaks the incident..... It is however always good to know that your tool is the best of the best with no exception....

Congrats on Completing the course. Sounds like a cool day. Out of curiosity, What type targets are used for the course...B-27's or Q type? Other?

I'm in North Alabama. I just chose the most common 2 targets. The silhouette target is probably a B-27. The Q targets look like a big bowling pin.

Yes sir we did use a B27 target... I also wanted to mention that I had one of only two or three 45acp's that were used and I believe we all had some pretty darn good shooting scores... Any idea's for concealing this beast by a Heavy 280+ 6'1" man with a 46" waist.... ( I am working on getting some off should make this easier)?

Your about the same as I, I CC a sub-c 45, Taurus PT745 Mill Pro, (only because Springfield doesn't makes one) I use a IWB leather holster, placed with the front of the holster just behind the front pocket of my jeans, seems pretty comfortable there, and doesn't cause issues while driving / sitting. I use a old Multi-Tool pouch for a spare mag holder.

I carried my old XD45s there as well, gotta be more careful with the grip then.

Congrats on passing your CC class! I'm 5'10", 280, and carry my XD45 Service in a Crossbreed Supertuck. It's one of the more popular IWB's mentioned in these forums. Good Luck!

Man...I wish Wisconsin would pass the CC bill. Been vetoed the last 2 times submitted and last time failed to get overturned by 2 votes.

I need to submit my prints this week and schedule my ccw class for mid april. I can't wait to get my permit so I don't have to WAIT FOREVER to get my guns from the dealers...
