Conceal Carry .45ACP Tactical
I know this is kind of overkill, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to conceal a XD .45ACP Tactical? The only way I can figure out right now would be a sholder holster. Thanks for any input!

I have the same problem. I could not find a way that I was comfortable with. Shoulder holster could be a good option though, but just not for me. I tried a IWB which, is a uncomfortable waste of money with that size pistol. Good luck.

First off, I'm 6-5 bout 280
I have the Tac and I carry it. No holster, in the pants waist about 3:30 with a lot of cant, The grip is at about 45 degrees up from horizontal. I can sit and stand no problem carrying this way. And I have a spare mag in the back pocket 26+1 |

Most of the concealed carry people actually carry a light, small framed handgun.
I carry a Kahr P45. It is bigger than most I have seen as carry guns go. Somethin' to think about.

Not a problem to carry the Tac. Model.I carry a 5 in 45 everyday. Our holsters feature an ajustable cant, and ride very low to the Belt Line.If you would like to try one out and you decide it is not for you simply send it back Leather Holsters for Springfield XD, Glock, 1911, M&P, Beretta, Ruger, Sig, Taurus, Kahr, Thank you Larry

It's all in the holsters cant/angle and the clothes you wear. Yes you can carry the tac. BTW where are you in Ohio?

You may find after sometime that the gun is too much of a burden to CCW, I know I moved away from a Sig229 for the same reason. I now carry an alloy frame 1911 with a 4" barrel.

As far as a good holster for IWB CCW, I like the Comp-Tac Minotaur I use. It keeps things where I expect to find them. The Crossbreed Super-Tuck is similar in design and seems to be well liked. If you have no other choice than the Tactical, look into a GOOD shoulder rig I suppose, or get used to having to pull your pants up all the time. Quote:

If a proper gun belt is used, not a wally world special, you won't have to pull up your pants.

You are able to use the gun you have if you choose to make the investment and time to purchase a good reliable, adjustable holster. I have a 45 tactical xd, and got a crossbreed deluxe and I can adjust depth of ride of the gun and cant, and I can put all xd's in the same holster! You also must realize that in most states (all the ones I know of) require a concealed carry gun is mandated to be inside a holster to be used by the concealed carry law. If you have a gun just packed inside your pants, you just broke the law, even if you have a valid concealed permit! Know your state law to the letter, it will save you! You may spend some extra $ trying different holsters till you find to be very comfortable, and conceal you gun, go hunting for it, then use it. Good Luck!
