Price check this gear for me please

I had purchased an XD 45 Compact model when they first hit the shelves. I have always carried 1911's and thought this would be a good change of pace. Anyhow. The Xd does not work for me. It's a good gun and all, but I guess you cant teach an old dog new tricks. My main gripe is the location of the slide release. I guess my thumb activates the thing during recoil. I normally rest my thumb directly on top of the safety on my 1911's I'm not going to change my grip just to be able to shoot this gun. It's just gathering dust.

I am going to sell it locally I guess. What's it worth????

1 xd 45 compact with around 250 rounds down the pipe.... no scratches, dents or dings
3 of the compact mags
3 of the extended mags with grip extensions
1 Tucker pancake holster
1 mag carrier, canted type.... Tucker as well

Thanks

If you decide to separate the mags and what not, let me know.

No opinions?

Is $450 to little or too much for this?

I wouldn't go less than 500 with the mags and all.

They go new here for $459, at least that's what I paid for mine. I would guess, with the stuff you have, somewhere around $500. You can start there, or just a tad higher, and see if anybody bites. You can always take an offer for less if it isn't moving.

If it was me I would start at 600 with all those accessories. There are people who paid that much just for the gun. I would say check out gun broker and your local stores, then set a price.

I just purchased the same pistol at a Gun show where they were selling for $439. I asked the dealer what a used one would sell for if I didnt like it and he said he would only pay $250 if it had never been shot or if it had 250 rounds through it because it is used either way. I like mine and would not sell it but it is like buying a new car. When you drive it off the lot it depreciates in value immediately. Personal sales are always better than trying to sell it to a dealer IMO. Good luck.

First of all Welcome the the Forum!! But it sounds to me like this guy was blowing smoke, $250!!?? No way, you could shoot a thousand rounds through an XD and sell it more than that. As long as it was taken care of. I mean if it's beat to hell then yeah it would be cheaper IMO.

That's what the Dealer would pay you for it, but I guarantee that is NOT what he would re-sell it for. That would be more along the lines of 400....

Personally, I'd separate everything and sell the gun by itself for $400 to $450 (depending on condition) plus shipping. I bought my XD45 Compact pre-owned for around that amount. Also, the extra stuff doesn't ever seem to bring you back a decent return (in my experience anyway) when you try and sell it with the gun. I've always made out better selling things separately. You already have a couple takers in this thread that would likely take the magazines off your hands. Shoot, I might even jump into the fray for a couple mags if you choose to sell them separately.
