Sig sights work on XD?

When I replaced the sights on the wife's XD-40 several years ago, I thought I had used a set of Sig P226 sights although it's been a while and I might have that wrong. I have MMC adjustable tritium sights on my USP-45 and Glock 21 and I really love an adjustable sight that isn't fragile or prone to snagging and I want to put a set of them on my XD-45 Tactical. However, Brownells doesn't list them for the XD but they do have them for the Sigs. Would Sig sights also work on the XD or are there going to be problems with fitting them in the dovetails?

Never mind, I see that MMC's web site lists XD sights anyways. Guess I should have checked there first but looking at the Brownells wish book, I didn't think they made them. Oh well, here's what I'm looking at anyways.

To answer the question, yes Sig sights work on an XD.

I called some sights mfg's and was told that although the dovetail is the same you have to pay attention to the sight height. Sig sights are not the same height as stock XD's.

Not that it won't work at certain distances but the elevation could change.

You just have to get the right height sights is all.
