Newby here

Newby to the forum, just sounding off. Recently traded a Rock Island Armory 1911A1 for a XD-45acp. Loved the 1911, but craved something new. Haven't shot the XD yet due to heavy work load, any quirks with it I should know of or just feed it till it chokes?

The XD family share a lot of the internals, as a result they pretty much have the same somewhat annoying "quirk". Most especially when the weather is nice outside they have a tendency to drain your pockets of your wealth in order to keep feeding them ammo. They are a great family of pistols and you have made a great choice. When you have the $$ again get another 1911, XDs and 1911s get along quite well with each other.

I've only put 150 rounds through mine since purchasing it 2 weeks ago, but it performed flawlessly!
