breaking in xd 45 bi-tone service model :)

just shoot my first time with bi-tone xd 45 service model. Did 100 rounds of cheap stuff and then did 100 rds of remington Goden saber .230. Had to minor hickups, one at 176 and another at 189 round. I think feeding ramp was pretty cruded up and I had to tap to get them to load. I cleaned her real good and i'll do another 200 rounds later.

Also, pay attention as to whether the feeding is a problem with one specific magazine.

2oo more rounds and all is well. It was my grip, I feel. I was paying to much attention to watching the slide and after a good clean lube she worked flawlessly. Another 2oo and she is ready for a ccw role.

Yep, I don't carry a gun until it's got 500 perfect rounds through it.
Sigs P229, Beretta 92F, XD's are the only guns to pass this test.

I had problems with my XD 45 compact jamming and it was my grip. I corrected the limpwristing and 380 rounds later all is good. Not so much as a hickup shooting Blazer Brass and Hornaday hollow points.

yeah, been awhile since i shot .45. forgot about control needed. It feels light when i'm shooting but obviously it was flipping up. My second shots on double taps where low (anticipating shots, flinching) so i've got some practicing to do. But i've done .45 before.
