XD .45 Compact

New to the site. Lots of great info. Just wanted to get opinions on getting one as a carry weapon. Thinking of getting a Crossbreed Super Tuck and a tuckable mag holder. Do ya'll think this would be a good combo?

You can't go wrong with an XD45C as a carry weapon. 10rd mag makes it easy to CC or if you want to OC, throw the 13rd mag on there...

Great combo, XD45C and Crossbreed! That's what I have, except I have the clip-on holster instead of the Super Tuck. The clip-on is much easier/quicker for me to take on/off than the Super Tuck was (I sold the Tuck and bought the clip-on).

I love mine. I carry it all the time with a cheap nylon holster but I have a SideArmor IWB holster coming my way from a very gracious fellow member who no longer had a use for it.

I'd rather have my XD and not need it, then need it and not have it....

IMHO it is the best concealed carry weapon out there. 10+1 (I actually get 11+1 in my magazine and it works flawlessly) .45 cal. firepower in a tight, very concealable, highly-reliable, and very safe package. It is outstanding.

Amen to all

pick up a Glock 30. The grip is a tad SHORT, and it feels more brickish. Its a great gun, but then look at the XD C. And, it looks and feels good with a 13 round mag - an integral package. I looked at plenty and picked the XD. I even considered the Smith - nice gun. But, cannot do CARRY and service - XD can.

I have never read a negative post about the .45 compact. Apparently, people REALLY like this pistol.

There are a lot of excellent guns out there. There are NONE better than the XD-45C. It is a winning design, brilliantly engineered, reliably built, and fully capable of handling its CCW duties. I can't say enough good things about the gun. Best choice I ever made was to buy this gun.
