Bad wear on my XD?
OK had my Xd 45 for about 18 months and love the gun. Now after shooting it last week I stripped it to Q tip it and noticed this marks, so before I cleaned it I figured I shoot some pics and see what you guys think of them. Gun has never had a misfire and has about 2100 rounds through it. My only complaint is I couldn't get the 13 round mags when I bought it. Contacted Springfield and all I got was its not a common problem and I could send it in for warrenty and they would look at it. So lets hear some thoughts!!!!

That doesn't look right. I've got close to 3,000 rounds thru my 9sc and it looks nice and smooth.

Bad wear on my XD
I assume you have a 45 compact.I have about 500 rds though mine. The small notches at the rail ends looks to be their by design. I have some wear in between on the surface. I dragged a small Jewelers screwdriver on the top from notch to notch and the leading edge no real wear just took of the finish on the surface heading toward the grip from the leading edge
I never had a problem with a 13 rd mag. Are you still having a problem with the 13rd Mag? thanks for the forum Pete V Last edited by Pete V; 01-11-2008 at 11:59 AM. |

Wish I had a 13 round mag to have a problem with. Can't get them out here and that was my biggest issue until this. Friend of mine has the same gun with the same rounds through it and his is a nice tight cornor. Love the comments guys thanks!

Brandon XD sells a 10rd Mag with the spacer that is the same length as the 13rd. The Pearce Extensions are now avaiable for the 45 as well Thanks for the forum Pete V Last edited by Pete V; 01-11-2008 at 12:21 PM. |
