Will Truglo TFOs fit in a K&D Defender?
I have a SA XD45C and was wondering if anyone has the K&D Dakota Defender holster w/ the Truglo TFOs? Do they fit in that holster??

I don't see why they wouldn't, as they are not that much taller than the stock sights. The Dawson Adjustable Sight may give you trouble, however.

Thanks just thought I'd ask since my K&D Dakota Defender holster should be here in a month and I wanted to get Truglo TFOs for my XD45C.

hahaha i cant believe that wait time....ugh 14-18 weeks? jeezus! im not that patient so i went with crossbreed and havent looked back. EXTREMELY happy. but they should fit no problem. most quality holsters will have extra lee-way for the front sight so it does not get snagged upon draw.

I guess it just depends on what you want ya know. I'm ok w/ carrying my xd on my hip w/ no holster till then. It's actually not that bad. Thanks for the feedback though I appreciate it. I just can't wait to put those Truglo TFOs on. Just wanted to make sure before I purchased the Truglos.. |

true, k&d make excellent holsters. both are very utilitarian, i forsee a K&D for me in the future but i needed a holster within a month so i went with crossbreed first. but a dakota defender or cochise will be with me one day as well, then i can me my review comparison thread

I sent an e-mail to Kevin and mentioned that TFO's are in the future for my 2, yet to be completed, Defender's. He replied and said that he would make the accomodation in the holster design for them.

XD with TFO in Defender
I recently got my KD Dakota Defender and had a set of Tru Glo TFO's put
on my XD .45 Compact. The fit is perfect with no interference. I spoke with Kevin last month about the fit and he said no problem with having TFO and it and it turned out not to be. |
