xd-45 impressions

Well I got a 4 and a 5 inch model ..swc will not feed reliabley period changed to 200grn moly flat points and that did the trick 5.0 grns wst my standard practice load for all the 1911's..will be putting on adj sites asap..thinking Bomars or dawson front and rear..the 5inch my be going back to SF due to light primer strikes ...mags on both guns also do not drop free need to be pulled from guns ...maybe going with a trigger job also...anyone use these adj. sites ???

Don't feel bad, Billybob.... a lot of people here can't get LSWC's to feed while some of ours will.

The mags should fee up with use. Lube them lightly and in time they will drop real nice.

SWC will not feed in my Compact, but everything else does. I have found that sometimes a magazine body will stretch a little and not drop free. Mine happens in the front about an inch below the top. I just give it a couple of taps with a rubber hammer and it drops freely again. It does not happen with all of my magazines.

Depending on what you want to do with the gun would dictate what sighting system you would use. I carry mine for self defense and have fixed sights XS 24/7. I also have a Lasermax laser. If I had a gun for shooting games, I would likely put an adjustable sight on.

Although not necessary, a trigger job helped my shooting. Much easier to push the trigger straight back and a shorter reset.
