Hello from Abram

I am new to this forum and wanted to say hi. I have used shotguns and rifles all of my life. This is my first hadngun and the information on here has been invaluable. I know that I will have questions but for now I am content to sit back and read. I recently purchased an XD in 45 acp and I love the gun. I was a little uneasy at first with the safety as it is different from what I was accustomed to on rifles and shotguns but I am slowly getting more comfortable and confindent with the weapon.

Welcome, read and enjoy. Did you get a service, tactical, or compact XD45?

I have the compact and really like it. If you're going to carry it, think about getting some night sights put on it.

Welcome from UT! I carry the XD45 Service with no trouble! I got the XD because of the safties. I have a 1911 that I carry when I feel like it, but I perfer the saftey features of the XD. No fumbling for levers or buttons before you can fire.
