Hey Walt, are you wondering about different XD mags or different brands altogether?

Never heard of any brands except SA XD working in .45XDs.
Personally, I've never had any issues with .45 XD mags, and I've had around a dozen of them (8-13rnd and 4-10rnd Compact).

In an autoloading firearm, the magazine is the weakest link of the whole mechanism. Be very careful to test all magazines thoroughly before trusting one with your life or safety.

Beretta mags will work in XD if you cut the notch for the mag catch in them. I don't know why you would look for any different mags than the factory XD mags, they are one of the best on the market in both quality and price. That is why you don't see many non OEM mags for the XD.

If you can grab one of the XDgear Acc. kits for about $30 its about $10 a magazine plus a dual mag belt holster and small case. Not bad at all considering a 1911 mag is $25-30 for a good mag.
