New Xd owner!! Xd accessory kit Questions!!

Greetings everyone im new to ownership of any kind of gun and even newer to these forums. I bought the xd 45ACP Compact under the advice of my Navy corpsman cousin who argued about the superiority of 45 caliber vs any other small calibers. So i went out and bought the damn thing and couldn't be happier So I was just wondering over here in California is there any kind of XD accessory kit i could buy to accommodate the 10 round maximum capacity of the mags in cali. I was wondering cuz on pistolgear.com i see they sell a FULL sized kit for the 45 with 2- ten round compact mags and 1- 13 round extended grip mag. because of the capacity limitations over here in cali, is there any way i would be able to get one of these XD accesorry kits with 3- ten round compact magazines.? Paying $40 to 60 bucks is an unbeatable price too juicy to pass up, especially when my local gun store wants to charge me 27 bucks for just one! So just lemme know and happy shooting!!

Welcome, and nice choice of a first gun. I'm not sure about your mag situation, sorry.

WooHoo! the 1st post of many future ones! Big thanks for the welcome everyone! the first thing ive noticed about these forums and reading many posts, is that most people are very friendly here and that firearms owners in general are very accommodating to the newbies. Thanks in advance for any information regarding my question about the california xd kits. I would really like extra mags for christmas, so i need to know asap whether or not these XD accessory kits even exist for the california XD owner.

While looking for accessory kits, I did see that some of the companies had California Accessory Kits listed. They had three 10 round mags in them instead of an extra 13 packed with 2 tens.
Can't remember who had them but I know they are out there.

Welcome to the forum.

Hey there and congrats on your great purchase and welcome to the forum.

Being located in NY...I'm subject to the same limitation on the magazine capacity. If you look on pistolgear.com you'll see that one of the options for the XD Accessory Kit is the "Limited" kit for 45ACP, which comes instead with 3 10-round magazines (I believe 1 shorty and 2 "limited" full length which are the longer mags, only with a blocker inside to limit to 10 rounds). However....they've been out of them for weeks and weeks. I make sure I check every day to see if they've come back into inventory, but no such luck. They went like hotcakes!!

Hope that this helps and if you happen to come across any of the "limited" kits...please post online! It'd sure help other like us who are unfortunate enough to live in states with brain-dead politicians that pass asinine laws like that.
