Recoil Spring Rates

What is the factory recoil spring weight for the Service And tactical Model 45acp? I am going to buy a solid recoil spring guide rod for my tactical model. Which is better the Dons fat rod are the smaller rod that will take the AA-1911 recoil springs?

Factory weight for the Tac spring is 18#, I use Don's Fat guide rod and a 20# spring (both from http://www.pistolgear.com/products.php?id=40). It's a nice set up, a little smoother recoil than the stock rod/spring.

What ammo are you using with the 22# spring? Also what about a shock buffer like for the 1911 guide rods, does anyone make them for the XD-45CT?

I've never tried a 22# spring, I'm using a 20# spring. I use Blazer Brass at the range (Win Ranger RA45TP for carry). Never used a shock buffer, don't know if they have one for the Comp Tac.
