guide rod?
Im having some problems with my guide rod, the end that rests on the barrel is getting some marking, some of it where you can feel the marks. I have some pics but they arent that good. Any feedback would be great, thanks guys or gals.

the pics are too out of focus, back off on the pic distance a bit.
BUT it looks like what you have is about like mine, dont worry about it, it's probly fine and if it isnt Springfield will make it right.

My up and close close vision is pretty bad, so those pictures looked normal to me!
And so did the rod. If you are curious what happens, remove your slide and flip the takedown lever down, then stick the rod end into the locking block and see how it sets. It is going to wander around a bit in there and knock against the edges under use. It should never end up with deep gouges, but it going to show some banging around marks. |

With the pictures you have it looks pretty normal to me. It will get some abrasions bumping around on the barrel. Not to worry.
