Looking for a Fix

I think I'm "limp wristing" my XD. I am occassionally getting double feeds and stove pipes. It seems that I'm just too comfortable with the 45acp cartridge. I tend to let the gun ride up since it does not have a sharp recoil. It has more of slow rise when recoiling.

It is either that or I've also noticed that the plastic magazine follower in the magazine is wearing badly. I've noticed a groove being worn in it and I'm wondering if the cartridges are getting caught in this "pot hole" being formed while feeding.

Does anyone make a metal follower for the XD-45 or are there any after market double stack magazines that use a metal follower that will work in the XD45, I wonder?

I've got 2K rounds thru my XD .45ACP and the mag followers look fine.
How many rounds have you run thru your mags?

I have about 1K through and I'll check on extra power mag springs. Thanks for the advise.
