stainless steel
does anyone know of a place i can buy a stainless barrel for my xd45 service model.I was wanting to change the barrel out that i have now.Thank you all for your responce.

I'm tempted to get the semi drop (from pistolgear) in for my 4 inch pistol, but order the 5 inch barrel. Then send it off to be Magnaported in the front 1 inch. I dunno why, but that sounds like fun to me...

Yes, I think a 5 inch barrel in a 4 inch gun with a trip to Magnaport will work just fine. Benefits: Slight increase in muzzle velocity due to extra inch of barrel. The barrel is reported to be a bit more accurate as well. Slightly more weight up front to cut muzzle flip a hint further. Still fits my holster, with about 1/2 inch or bare barrel sticking out the bottom. Magnaport further reduces flip. Big "WTF?" looks from the faces of people around me at the range.
