Which sights?

Hi all, I am planning on getting the 4" compact XD45 as soon as I can sell my other pistol to fund the purchase. I don't particularly like the stock NS, so plan to get it with 3dot white to save $$. I had planned on replacing those with TFO's as I liked them when I testfired an XD9 & 40. BUT...I have read here & elsewhere that Truglo's cust service & warranty leave something to be desired, AND that the TFOs are rather fragile. The pistol will be my primary carry pistol, and I want durable. I have & like the XS 24/7 sights. I see they are also made for all XDs. Anybody here tried the XS big dot sights and like them on their XD? Mine on my 1911 have been excellent.

I have 3 XD's with the TFO's on them, no problems.
I have the XS Big Dot on a G26 and really like them alot.
I think they would be a good choice for the XD45C as well

I have used both
the TFO's are the best in all light conditions
But the XS big dot in my opinion are the best for self defense weapon
quick acquisition , very bright and the only night sight I have used that I can see in the dark clearly without my glasses on.

I just installed a set XS sights
and now have a brand new set of TFO's green front yellow rear
for sale $45 shipped cont US.

Also a High Viz fiber optic front sight (green ) $15 shipped cont. US.

Sight removal/ replacement on an XD can be a nightmare, search for threads on the topic on XDTalk. You may want to consider having a gunsmith or SA custom shop do it for you. Multiple site-sponsors do that, and folks have posted they're very happy.

I have TFOs on two of my pistols (XD9 & XD45). They both get lots of use and I've had absolutely no problems at all. I highly recommend them.

I've had 3 sets of TFO sights installed by James (xd-hs2000.com) on my XD45s. He does great work and the sights are great in all light conditions. No problems for me.

I've had XD Big Dots installed on my 9mm CZ, as mentioned, they are great for a personal defense weapon, but not for range accuracy.

I put the http://www.advantagetactical.com/index.html on my 5" tactical. The old sights were extreemly hard to get out, I would suggest a gunsmith or send it in to Springfield who will remove them for free. The new ones go in just fine.

These sights make it real easy to line up for aging eyes. My use is for ISPC, Idpa, and Steel challenge.

I have the TFO's on my 45 service pistol that have performed well for about 2 years. The only thing you need to be careful about is what kind of solvent you use when cleaning your gun. Some solvents will melt/deteriorate the fiber optics and Tru-Glo will not replace sights that have been damaged due to solvents. I like the sights since they are equally as vivid in all lighting conditions. I use CLP Breakfree to clean the slide of my gun as it was recommended by James from XD-HS2000.com.
