Factory pull on XD

What is the trigger pull (pounds) from the factory on a XD 45 compact? I have been told from five to eight pounds.

Thanks,

pain man

Is the pull adjustable from the factory or just range from 5.5 to 7.7 and one pistols pull is lighter/firmer from the factory than another?

Thanks,

pain man

Adjustable by getting the trigger parts or sending it off for a trigger job.

My XD45 Compact was 8.5 From the factory. After shooting it 200 times it come down to around 8.This was still too heavy for me. So I put a Canyon Creek spring kit ( the $20.00 one ) in it and polished the sear a little and it came down to 5 LBS. which is perfect for a carry gun for me. Just My Two Cents,

Joe

The trigger pull was the one thing that almost kept me from getting an XD altogether. The reason I got one is because I knew a good trigger job would fix it all. I has Springer Precision take care of mine, and I love it. 4# carry pull and it gets rid of a lot of the take up and reset. It was well worth the money.

Appreciate all the info. guys. Sounds like some trigger work is in order. Shoots good out the box but a little trigger lightening would be beneficial.
