1st problem ever

i have owned my xd 4" 45acp service for almost a year about a week ago i went to range to warm the girls up a little . my mags were already loaded for about 4 to six weeks the first three shot jammed while cycling a new round into chamber , only three.after this issue everything ran fine has any body else had this problem

I haven't had this problem at all with mine. It could just be that they sat there for so long that dust, grit, etc could have gotten into your magazine and caused the lag in feeding causing it jam. Where as the lower rounds wouldn't have gotten like that. It happened alot to people in iraq. Just from dust and whatnot getting into their magazines it would cause them to jam the first coupe of rounds. Whenever I go to the range, I always load my "range" magazines there. It takes a little time, but it keeps them from locking up on me or malfunctioning. And so far I haven't had any problems.

sounds like magazine issue, how many rounds have you fired with those magazines? springs "could" be going out but it sounds more like dust or debris to me

did you leave it that long with a full mag loaded? I have heard that leaving too many rounds loaded in the mag for extended amounts of time and do some damage to the springs...better luck next time =/
