Finally broke down and picked up the XD .45 Compact, in Black. Ordered it from some "whitetail" hunting place in Ohio that sells a lot of stuff on gunbroker... New in box, for $424 + $25 shipping to my FFL (which is my dad, so no transfer fee), and no sales tax, because they're from a different state! So, said and done, at my door, it'll be $449.00.

Also, just ordered one of the 3-mag accessory kits for it from Buds, so I'll have at least a start to my mags... Now I just have to wait until people have the .45 Service kits in stock, so I can get (3) more of the hi-cap mags, too...

I'll post up pictures when I get it (should be Wed night, I immagine).

Pistolgear.com has these kits and at a lower price than I found at gunbroker.
I'm coming to believe the 45c is THE perfect pistol!!

ive had my 45c for about 6months , an love it been shoopin for a 45c in OD or Dark earth , all shops tell me 6-7 weeks for delivery so iam orderin it this week, that way i can make it thru the holidays and be able to pay for it afterwards,

Thanks guys, I completely can't wait!! my Scorpion EXO-1000 helmet is also coming in this week, so this should be a REALLY exciting week for me! (as long as the helmet fits, of course)

BTW, I got the mag kit at Buds Gun Shop for $33. I would have paid the extra $5 to get it from Pistolgear, because I've heard good things about them, but they were out of all of the .45 kits...
