Oh man, I'm totally psyched. I just got word that my brand new full-sized 5" tactical .45ACP XD in Dark Earth is on its way to my local dealer for pick up next early week. I managed to get the 2007 model at cost $500 by joining my local range for a year--which I had planned to do anyway. It was quiet a deal! My accessory kit is already on it's way so I'll be starting out with all the trimmings. (rubbing hands together).
Now it's time to order a few boxes of ammo and some targets. Sweet!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! |

Ammo dilemma
Right now I'm stuck between two types of low-cost ammo for bulk shooting. I'm looking at either Cabela's 230gn FML bulk ammo or Winchester's USA (White box) brand. The Winchester is just a few cents more per round, but we're talking brand name stuff versus the bulk reloaded stuff.
What I'm curious about is which ammunition shoots the best to point of aim. I'm punching holes in paper so when I aim for the bull I want those shots around the bull not all grouped to one side or another. Does anyone have any experience with either of these rounds? |
