45 Comp Tac - How Nice!
Forgot how nice my 45 compact 4" shoots! Got a TLR-2 hanging off the front and there's hardly any muzzle flip. Been shooting my 3" 45 1911's and taking a beating! My XD's been doing safe duty as my primary HD weapon. Shot all kinds of +P JHP loads today and nary a whimper out of it, keeps on ticking.

I assume you are referring to the 5" Com Tac, and I have to agree. A little extra weight up front with your TLR-2 really smooths it out. I just added Don's fat guide rod to add ~2oz of weight, but even that made it real nice

Yes, he said 4", but I think the original poster wanted to say 5", since he titled the thread 45 Comp Tac. The fat guide rod is only for the 5" Tactical.
