Variations between model years?

What I'm about to ask is relating strickly to the full-sized 5" tactical in .45 ACP. Where any changes made to the gun between 2006 and 2007? Are there any changes projected for 2008?

I can get some good deals on 2006 models, but we're closing to having the '08's out and I'm just curious if there is actually a different?

Yeah there are some variations. The smaller frames have had their slides flared a bit. I think they built the 45 from the things they learned from the 9mm sized frame experiences. There are always going to be improvements. The Compact frame size came directly from us here at XDtalk. We had so many people cutting frames to take the sub compact magazines they came out with the 45 compact model. The funny thing is we wanted them to make the smaller frames like that too but they have yet to do it.

I wasn't being serious with that comment, hence the smiley, maybe I should have put a sarcasm line in.
