XD-45 compact two-tone

Is the 45 compact available in two tone yet?
I have the SC-niner in two tone and I really love it.

If you have the money, buy a service bi-tone and a compact and then swap the slides and resell the service all black model...just a thought. Might need to keep it in the family if the slide/frame have to match serials.

Probably right, or just keep the two guns...even better.

does it matter that the frame and slide on XD's are both engraved with the same serial number?

I think federally, it's only the frame that has to be serialized as it is the part that's considered a gun. Buying a slide or barrel does not require the services of an FFL, but a frame does.

The barrel also has the serial if you were concerned with it, you could keep the barrel and the frame and just swap the slides.
