I, too, liked the concept of a reliable hi cap single trigger pull weight "tupperware" .45 ACP, but the G21 never fit me either. So, although skeptical when I first heard about it, when I wrapped my hands around a XD45 I knew I had found nirvana. Then shooting it did nothing to discourage me. Soon I had one in the gun safe...

Welcome from New Hampshire. We own 5 of them and they all preform flawlessly. Good move.

Located on the west side of town near katy...I would have kept the SF as it was an excellent shooter, but I hate having it just sitting around not being used. The G17 is my wifes, it will be up to her if she keeps it or not. Not saying I will never own another Glock, But I really feel they need to do some ergonomic changes in the future. Both my XD and my 21 shot perfect. The feel of the grip, and the overall size of the xd won out. I know there isn't much, but I carry off duty what I carry on duty, and the XD conceals a bit better. Again these are my opinions only, I think Glocks are great pistols, but the XD's I feel are an improvement in certain cateogories. I will say I have by far had more comments on the XD than I did on the SF. Just for information one of the operators on my team recently retired his G35 in favor of an XD 45 tactical. I think 45 ACP is seeing a resurgence back in law enforcement. I feel the XD 45 to be a platform that more shooters can use comfortably. I am 5'6" with smallish hands and the XD works better for me.
