So far, my .45 Tac has performed as well as my other two XDs. Perfectly!

Actually, I did have one issue. It doesn't like lead semi-wadcutters. Other than that, it's ate everything I've fed it.

My XD40 never jammed either. No problems with the 45, except for breaking the fiber optic out of my front sight, shooting under a barricade once.

What kind of problems have the .40's had? I've pretty well divested myself of .40's of all flavors and started doing so before I ever bought an XD. I have about ten XD-9's and 45's in all sizes and have never had any type of malfunction with any of them. I'm just curious about the XD-40's now.

My Xd has had 2 fail to fires, but I'm going to say is due to the reloads I bought. However it has yet to have any real problems with new ammo. I'm about 1k through it so far.

xd-45 tac

I have put about 500 rounds thru my xd-45 tactical. Mostly I shoot 185 grains from Remington and Winchester. It doesn't digest semi-wadcutters of any type.

To quote my 25 year old son who loves his 9mm CZ compact, "Dad this gun is the bomb". I am thinking this means he likes it since he shot over 250 rounds through it. But I agree. I am just glad it did not come out 40 years ago when I started shooting my dads 1911. I would have never owned all those other great guns I have and have had.......yes it is that good.

Sounds good to me.
I figured there wouldn't be many problems with it because XD's are high quality firearms.

I wonder why it doesn't feed semi-wadcutters ?

Other than needing the higher model rear sight which Springfield sent for free, not one problem with the gun itself. Of course other than feeding her.

Lots of problems with reloads when experimenting with OAL for LSWC's but got the dies set to where the gun likes them now.

NO ammo related problems whatsoever with factory or FMJ or LRN's.

Since you're from WV you don't have to worry about no XD45 magazines available like here in Canada.
