I've got a Blackhawk for my Sig P220, and I can't seem to find a good way to wear it (belt loop or paddle) without it printing - I'm talking, it screams GUN!!
I guess if I was to wear a big, heavy jacket over it, maybe it would conceal, but I doubt it. Either paddle or belt loop lets the gun hang out away from my body just way too much. I guess my question is: could it be the belt I'm wearing doesn't offer enough support, or is this usual for the Serpa? TOTP |

What kind of belt are you wearing? I've got the BH CQC and I've never been in fear of printing when wearing a t-shirt. Then again 99 percent of the people you run into will never notice.

I prefer the paddle. The Serpa paddle is much more aggressive than my old Fobus paddle.

It's just an old brown leather belt from American Eagle or something I've had for 10+ years. Yeah, I know it's not tactical or anything. I guess I need to go ahead and spend the money on a nice reinforced belt. Kinda was thinking that may have been part of the issues I was having. I just think a black nylon belt is just as obvious as a holster on the hip. Does anyone make a nice reinforced belt that looks like a "normal" belt? |

Yup that's most likely your problem. Try to use the paddle attachement until you can get a new belt.
Here are some suggestions for a new belt http://www.511tactical.com/index.asp...1&number=59405 http://www.spectergear.com/lrb.htm I've got this one in the double thickness version. Good belt. Wilderness instructor belts are of simliar build to the above ones. They are great belts and hold hostlers just fine.

I'm a Blackhawk guy now....
Well I had to do it.....with Cabela's half a mile down the road I couldn't wait and went and bought the Blackhawk SERPA!! I went for the CQC matte finish level 2 with the paddle and belt attachments, instead of the paddle only (which by the way I found out is detachable and the belt attachment can be added.) I am just starting to get the feeling for it, the SERPA button was really easy to get use to!! I agree with some of you about the printing...I don't currently carry, but it is a bit much to conceal (especially with a service model) and can probably only be done with a heavy jacket. I did find it a little annoying that the pistol moved around in the holster a bit, but I think I found a solution for that and will post pics up after work, (if I can figure it out....haven't posted pics yet.)

Update
Well... I did some looking on the forum and found out some others had problems with the loose fit... "dave_in_deleware" said:
I received an email from Blackhawk regarding the loose fit of some XD's inside the holster. They're sending me a "rail adapter spring" for it, which they believe should correct the rattling problem. So, for those of you who have a loose fit issue, contact this person. She's the one who has the springs: Pamela Regula Quality Assurance Supervisor Blackhawk Products Group 6160 Commander Parkway Norfolk, VA 23502 757-436-3101 ext. 3324 800-694-5263 fax 866-420-4295 8:00am - 5:00pm M-F pregula@blackhawk.com www.blackhawk.com SWEET!! Hopefully this will solve my issue with the looseness, and off to the range I go!!!

I just sent my e-mail off to her also. That was my only complaint about the BH CQC holster was the "looseness" of it. Though I've never worried about it falling out becuase of the lock.
Hope to hear from them. I'm sure they will reply quickly. I just e-mailed them yesterday about purchasing a replacement paddle attachement for my holster, I bought it used by the way and it didn't have it in there I even explained this in the email. Anyway, one of their employees sent me an e-mail that same day asking for my mailing address. About 2 hrs after that I had another e-mail saying that they were sending me one free of charge! The holster is out of warranty it was bought used and they still sent me a free part.

I got my replacement "rail spring" and it's a night and day difference.
