This forum routinely reports issues with the XD...This has not been one of them.

I heard this happening after owning the gun for awhile.

I am having a hard time deciding between:

XD45 Tactical
G21
M&P 45

Any thoughts.

I have big hands to they all fit.

Fair warning.
Why not? Do you have personal experience with the M&P 45, or are you just running off at the mouth?
I have one and it is a darn good pistol. NO FTE, FTF or any other maladies. Accurate as can be right out of the box.
If I am wrong, please accept my apology. I have four M&P's and they are all top drawer.

I don't know the reason's behind the others saying do not get an M&P, but I can tell you some of mine.

The fit between the slide and frame can be pretty slopppy. The gap seems a bit larger than normal, and at the end of the barrel, it grows wider apart because of the recoil spring putting pressure on the plastic.

The trigger is very gritty. I've heard it goes away after a while, but why should a new gun have it at all? there is a guy who can fix that (not on ths board).

The trigger itself has 2 hinges, one of which looks like it can easily break after a while.

Shooting wise, I've heard very little complaints about it.

my m&p .45 shoots wonderful. I carry it for duty and have no problem selecting it to save my life if need be. 185 gr. speer gold dots (approx. 800 rounds ...never a ftf or fte).

ps.--keep in mind that I carry an xd 40 bi tone off duty so I guess you see where my loyalty lies.

the loaded chamber indicator might get stuck (however not affecting the operation of the pistol) if you neglect to clean your XD.

if you clean your gun every once in a while, it shouldn't happen. if it does happen, it's easy to remove and clean even better.
