VERY COOL! A .45 is on my list. The sub-compact 9mm has to come first, but the .45 will not be forgotten. I have to have them all. I have a friend in the Springfield Custom Shop and I was gushing like a school girl over how much I liked my XD9 and how amazingly accurate it is right out of the box and it just eats everything I through at it. Here is his reply:

I gotta tell ya, the XD is the most awesome gun we’ve ever had. Overall, for the money, it’s tough to beat. People gush like a schoolgirl all the time about it, so I’m used to that.
This was coming from a certified gun snob at their Custom Shop!

Sounds like you got one with restricted mags. Obviously, if you live in a non-restriction state, you should ditch those and get some 13rnd mags.

I LOVE my Trijions on my XD45. They are tough as hell, fully supported by life by Trijicon, and I'm accurate with them. They are the "steak and potatos" of night sights, for sure, and that is good IMO.

You don't have gunsmiths in California?

I had mine installed while I went shopping, took about two hours.

I had TFOs put on by the dealer I bought my XD45 compact from. I shot an XD40sc with the 3-dot whites and didn't like them. After having TFOs, I shot a friend's XD45 tactical with 3-dot whites and I was reminded how much I like my TFOs.
