Haha. Well now you know! ![]() I LOVE my XD45c so very much. It's a great platform, my favorite gun so far. It's a 4" and I think that it is the PERFECT 45ACP setup for carry, home defense, and training...at least for me.

I was an old school 1911 shooter. After reading many pro XD posts/reviews I bought an XD compact for my car. I haven't looked back since. Groups are tight no FTF. Not even so much as a hickup. I like the option of using the 10 or 13 rd. clips. A very versatile pistol. I would highly recommend.

I carry my XD45 compact every day and I love it. I also have an XD9 service and the 45 compact actually conceals better for me thanks to the shorter grip (when using the 10 round magazine).
I've got about 4000 rounds through it now and it has never failed to go bang when I pulled the trigger. And it hits exactly where I point it. I have absolutely no reservations at all about depending on mine to protect my family. I can't think of any higher recommendation that I could possibly give. Edit: Forgot to answer the magazine cost part. You asked about magazine costs... Pistolgear ( http://www.pistolgear.com ) has the 10 round magazines for the compact for $23.75, the exact same price as the full capacity magazines. If you want an additional 13 round magazine (it comes with one of each) you'll want to also buy the grip extender for it... which adds a couple bucks to the cost. I like mine alot (even though I'm kinda mad at it right at the moment). It shoots anything I feed it, but I won't say it doesn't complain with certain cheap plinking ammo. Hollowpoints go through it like greased lightning! So far no problems with Gold Dots, HydraShoks, HST's, Corbons, SXTs,and a few others.

45 C is an awesome gun!
- Easy to carry. Even works great with a universal clipdraw - 13+1 for service duty - 13+1 with light/laser for nightstand duty - Good gun for learning how to fully strip down No problems with any ammo I've tried so far! |

Is there a brand of ammo that the XD45 does not like or that it prefers? I just bought my 4" XD45c and have not shot it yet. I want to carry the same ammo I shoot at the range so I am looking at the budget ammo like WWB, Blazzer Brass, UMC, American Eagle and the likes. Are any of these favored over another? Should I avoid any certain brands?

All of the brands I've tried, including the ones you mentioned are fine. I've been shooting mainly Blazer Brass, since it's the cheapest I can find locally. Enjoy and welcome to the forum.

I've had no problems with any ammo in my XD45C...it has digested everything I've fed it
Great carry gun...a little difficult in Florida but I've managed. We'll see how well I can conceal it now when I get back home from the Navy, I've lost 45 pounds in the last 4 months so my body type is a little...different.
