Last Sunday I picked up a new XD-45 compact in black. I found a guy at a gun show who had closing his shop & sold it to me for wholesale. I got it for $450 tax included! I also picked up a Taurus PT111 Millenium for the wife at $275 tax included. I think I did pretty good.
I picked up an extra 13 rd mag with the extension from Cheaper than Dirt for $24 I think it was & a XD Gear paddle holster for $16 shipped from Ebay. Now I need a good IWB holster & start looking at some of the other mods. That could be almost as fun as tricking out a 10-22! Shoots great but I am having some of the low right/left problem when I shoot it (I am ambidextrous). I have only fired about 60 rds & it is getting better though. Seems to be a well built, high quality weapon. Last edited by Woodward; 09-21-2007 at 08:53 AM. |

You did excellent on the deals! The shooting low left (for a righty) and low right (for a lefty) thing is due to trigger control and placement of your finger on the trigger (use just the first part of your finger pad, before the 1st joint, and pull straight back). It's common, and after several hundred rounds you should smooth things out. If you're used to shooting other guns (or switch back and forth at a range session), it may take a while to get the XD trigger control worked out.
Congrats and Welcome!

If I found that price today I'd pony up the money even though I have an XD45 Service now! Outstanding price and outstanding pistol. I hit almost anything I try with mine is short fashion.

Awesome job on the steal, as far as the quality of this gun. Ive never ever shot anything as nice as the XD.45 4", it even rivals H&K in my opinion. Happy shooting and your shot group will improve with more range time.
