Just purchased an XD45 Earth tone. I was given a small bottle of lucas gun oil. Has anyone used this and if so the pros and cons of the oil.

Lucas makes decent oil products for the automotive industry. I have used them with enough success to say that I would again. I have no doubt that what you have is an oil that will lubricate and protect your firearm, the question is for how long?

Yeah, I agree, my Ford truck and my Montero both have Lucas in the Difs and Transfer but you are right for how long. Thanks for the response.

Probably not as effective, nor as inexpensive as Mobil 1.

LOL... this whole thread.... LOL

I use it in my class A... for the generator and the engine. Stabilized that is. I have no idea why they have come out with a "gun lube", but if they have it should be the cats-ass. They don't go halfway on anything. Lucas has been around a long time in the trucking industry, just not as big a name as some of the others.
