That will vary depending on the suppressor you use. My SWR when fired 'wet' is hearing safe (that is, the dB levels are not dangerous to your hearing without wearing hearing protection). I always wear my 'ears' when shooting anyway, but it's still very pleasant.

I once did a side by side comparison between my SWR HEMS fired dry on an HK USP Compact .45 vs. my Ruger MK II using Aquilla powderless subsonic .22 (no gunpowder in the cartridge, propelled by the primer only). The Suppressed .45 was only barely louder than the .22 without any gunpowder behind it. Fired wet the 'psst' is less shocking to my ear than the CLICK! of the staplegun I use to post targets.

I'll let you know what a suppressed XD .45 Service sounds like when I get everything setup for that gun.

As an update, I ordered my EFK Firedragon barrel in early October 2007. I attempted contact at about 30 day incriments through phone and email just to check on the order with little success. After three months I learned the order was "received" but never put in the "to be filled" pile. I was told to expect another 30 days. Because people are expecting range reports on this I didn't cancel the order immediately and am giving them that 30 days. They have been very polite and I do not wish to speak ill of them, but I'm looking at 4 months for my barrel, if they are able to deliver.

This is why I have not followed up with the promised review. Updates to follow.

I agree, but I'd also say add more mags. Then you can shoot more in less time.

Dillon reloader.

Worth the investment. Pays for itself over and over and over again.

I was considering the firesites by Williams? Any ideas???
