45 Bi Tone Finish Questions
Anyone carrying one of these for an everyday carry gun and if so how is it holding up ..?
I want another 4" Service Model and a local dealer has the Stainless on Black in stock .but not a standard black melonite . |

I have had one for a while. No scruffing or anything. Actually looks kinda new really. I have a lined High Noon Holster.

I carry a Bi-tone 45 Service. No wear on the slide at all - so far.

I carry a subcompact 9mm XD everyday. Same finish as the .45 you speak of. Take a look for yourself!

I have been carrying a bi-tone service for several months now and it isn't showing any wear marks at all. I think most of the complaints you hear about holster wear on the XD's are in reference to the pre-melonite finished guns.
