Shot my first .45 tonight
I shot my first .45 tonight, SA XD .45, 4 inch. It felt really good. I have been thinking about buying my first gun and was leaning toward a .40 before but now I definitely want the .45. Just need to find a local dealer with a bi-tone .45 tac.

Too bad you don't live here in CO we got an amazing guy who runs a pawn shop and is an SA dealer. All the XD's are between $420.00-$450 depending what model you choose. Best prices I've ever seen. And yes they're new guns.

Yea grand junction just 3 1/2 hours from you. I got my XD tactical .45 for $445.99 The guy who runs it is named Jimmy and he can get almost any gun you want and he only charges +$10 on top of what it costs him. Honestly the best gun prices I've ever seen. Thats why I drop over $1000 a month usually on guns now since I've found him. And you wouldn't believe his layaway policy LOL

I wish I was out there that sounds great!
I found a dealer thats a little farther from home than where I shoot but I talked to them over the phone on a couple prices and they were 60-80$ cheaper than the dealer by my house. I'm going to see if they have the .45 I want tonight. |

Thanks for the warning! I'm very new to shooting in general, I was home last night and I just got the itch to drive to the range.
I am planning on going with the tactical. I don't plan on carrying and there is something appealing to me about getting a big ass handgun. The other benefits (recoil, sight line distance) seem like a good idea as well. I think I will go call the dealer now to see what it is in stock. |

AHHHH yes, the .45. Remember, bigger holes are better holes!!!
I love my XD45. I just can't see myself ever getting a smaller caliber semi-auto.

I totally agree with you guys. I bought my first handgun this 4th of July: a Smith & Wesson Model 457 (45 acp). Then a Taurus PT 24/7 Pro, also a .45. Now I'm in the middle of my 3-day waiting period to go pick up my XD-45. I can't freakin wait.
I started with 45's and haven't looked back since! |
