Tac Light Users.
Hello All
My first XD is In my 10 day wait .45 ACP Service and was Curious as to which tac light no laser would be best. I had an X200 on my Sig 226 In Iraq but was curious as to the XD, I found the X200 a little Heavy. |

I bought the actual Springfield light. Its pretty bright and fit's the tac perfect. Should fit the service model just fine.

I just picked up the streamlight TLR-2 (with laser). But the TLR (light only) looks exactly the same without the laser 'bump out' under the light.
Fit and finish is excellent. Really bright, shining it now on a sunlit wall and can still see it. A lot lighter than I expected. Good tight fit on the rail. And you can add a pressure switch to the grip for the light! |

I love my TLR-1. It provides a nice counterweight and it has a good combination of brightness and battery life. (Rated at about 2.5 hours I believe, compared to some 1 hour lights.)

I have the TLR-1 and am very happy with it. Very bright white light with an adequate field of view. Good value for the money IMHO.

I'd go with an XML for anything shorter than a tactical. I don't care for having the light extending past the muzzle due to all that crap getting on the light and the lens.

I have had great luck with my Insight Tech. M3. I have had since the M3's first appeared on the market. It has held up great. I think I might upgrade to an M3X or M6X in the future. Insight also has the SSL-1, an LED type light. It looks very nice.................

I got a Glock GTL-20 tac light / laser, for a Tactical (5"). I agree with not having the light extend beyond the barrel. This one on a Tactical doesn't.
I dislike the Glock gun, but I like their knife and their laser. |
