Curious why you bought the Five Seven. Other than an excellent fit/finish pistol and expensive plinking I've not seen a real good reason for the calibur. Same thing with the P90, I'd LOVE to own one for gigs, but couldn't find a good reason to buy one.

Well, I have a PS90 already - so I have a lot of the ammo.

Also, the 197 rounds won't go thru as many walls as traditional handgun rounds. The rounds do expand and do substantial damage on soft tissue, but break up fairly well on hard targets.

While there are more powerful rounds, most of the info out there is parroted, misinformation about the round. I've done a lot of reading, and between some magazine articles, and tests done by different people on various internet forums, I am satisfied with the round. Yea, a 45ACP is more powerful. But, I think it's comparable enough to 9mm that I don't have any problems using it for self defense.

This is my new nightstand gun, for the reasons mentioned above. I have a son now, and would like to avoid as much collateral damage as possible, should, god forbid, someone break in.

I use a TLR-1 and like it a lot. If you have to have the latest and greatest go faster gear then the SureFire X300 with a cree LED should be out soon.

You just need to shoot one. They are very accurate and have nearly zero recoil. It also has 21 rounds on board. Follow up shots are very quick with the FiveSeven. Its also just a very unique cal. and pistol good for any collection.

I use an Insight Tech M3 on my railed pistols, if I cant get to my Colt 6933 Commando with Surefire M500A

Its the standard Picatinny Rail.
The standard was first published by the Picatinny Arsenal and carries the official title MIL-STD-1913. It is also known by the NATO designation STANAG 2324.

Hmm.. thanks. I tried to install my TLR-1 with the 1913 adapter and didnt seem like it wanted to go on. I put in the Glock Rail adapter, and it worked. I guess I will try again with the 1913 adapter.

EDIT: Still cant get it on.. hmm. Got it on my Sig and 1911, but not the XD.

I use the Streamlight TLR-2 with my XD45 Tactical. The Glock rail adapter was already installed on the light when I bought it. I can't imagine the light fitting any better than it does. I have not tried the 1913 adapter for that reason.

I have (for the moment) the Insight M3 on my XD9 service model... it does stick out a bit but for now it works:

Probably going to trade this up for a combo light/laser in the near future... *shrug*
