Hey man. Just picked mine up. They look good. Glad I got em. Anyways mine do have a gap. Its not big but looks like you can get a couple pieces of paper in there. Its hard for me to tell if your gap in the pic is bigger then mine.

Hope that helps.

Great! Glad you like them. I'm loving mine. I guess the gap is normal, so Trijicon probably just put my email in the idiot bin. Thanks for following up man.

Cheers!

Sight Issue

Boy, am I glad I saw these on a gun before buying them! I don't know what the rest of you are used to seeing but these are UNACCEPTABLE. It doesn't look like they are the right part and definitely present a probable snag problem. For Trijicon (whos products I love and have used since their beginning)to put these out as their XD sight makes mewonder what parts got put in the package . The old parts shared by the "other" gun fit better. Let us know what Trijicon says - I don't think they'll like the look of these any better!

I just sent an email to Trijicon as well off their web site, and provided a link to this thread for the pictures. I'll post if/when I receive a reply.

Do either of you have a set of feeler gauges? I'd be interested in knowing the exact gap, as I am contemplating a few sets for a few of my XD's.

Look at the profile of a Sig pistol and you will understand why the gap is so large.

Curiosity got the best of me. I have three Sig's with Trijicons. A P220ST, a P226 2-tone in .40S&W, and a P226 2-tone in 9mm. The front sights on the 220 and the 226-9mm sit absolutely flush. The 226-.40 has an ever-so-slight gap, but I couldn't get a .002 feeler gauge under it.

So onto the rear sights: It's flush on the 220. The 226-9mm has a .016 gap between the front of the rear sight and the top of the slide and the 226-.40 has a .017 gap.

Ok, now that you've looked at your Sigs, take a look at the XD and notice the difference in profile (the top of the Sig slide is taller than the XD), put the Sig sight on the XD and instant gap.

For folks that don't know, the XD is largely based on the Sig.

Yeah, I guess my confusion is that he put sights on that were supposedly designed for the XD instead of the Sig sights that just fit the dovetails. I'd think that Trijicon would lower the blades accordingly if they were going to come up with a new part # for them.
