What's a better holster for my XD 45ACP 5"?

The factory holster does not cover the barrel and seems to fit loosely. The factory holster lets the muzzle foul my shorts and I'd like to get maximum grip exposure for the draw. Any help?

Money matters too. The plastic models appear to be cheaper but I know you get what you pay for mostly. I'm running Limited Class.

Try the Blackhawk Serpa or a Uncle Mikes holster. I use & like both of them. The Serpa takes a little time to get used to, but can still be very fast.

I use a BladeTech DOH style holster for mine. They are very popular for a non-race holster. There was such an uproar when USPSA was thinking about banning them. They are that popular.

I got one for my new gun and I used it last weekend in a match and will this weekend as well. I have always liked the BH stuff. They have great customer service as well but sometimes products are on backorder.
