XD-45ACP Compact Mods?

I have been looking around and I see that the XD Tactical and Service models have many different modification that can be done to them. I want to know besides nights sights and trigger jobs are there any other modifications that can be done to the XD Compact? Or has anyone done any modifications that they have pics of to show how their XD Compact looks and functions after modifications? I want modification that will be useful for CCW, but want to see any and all modifications for the XD Compact. Thanks in advance.

Besides night sights the best MOD I can think of is to polish your barrel.






































































from the inside with alot of ammo.
Spend your money on ammo, what good are MODs if you don't have ammo.

i second polishing your barrel look at the xd's post um up thread few ppl on there have them or you could search

Thanks for the replies. Helps me in my decision on my next XD. Ammo is never a concern as long as the manufacturers continue to make ammo.

did you scroll all the way down and see how I said to polish the barrel ?

ammo is a concern....haven't you noticed the prices ? the selection ?
I reload for my 45 and couldn't find primers locally, no problem I thought I'll just go online and order them. Ya, everybody was "out of stock" on Winchester, CCI, Remington, ect.....ended up getting Wolf because that's all I could find that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

put a set of night sights on it, and spend your money on ammo and practice. That is the best MOD to be useful for CCW. What good are all the bells and whistles if you don't have ammo and the skill to use your pistol ?

Yes, I scrolled all the way to the bottom and saw your message concerning ammo. For a relative newbie I go to the range 3 times a week and shoot a minimum of 100 rounds per trip. So I am doing the best I can on polishing my ramp from the inside.

What about getting the weapon smoothed out, I do not know what it is called, but get the sharp edges taken off to make the weapon easier to carry?

It's is called "de-horned".........and I've yet to feel any sharp edges on my XD's

All I'm getting at is if this is going to be your CCW, other than night sights I see no need to spend money on anything else but ammo and practice. It sounds like you are doing that aready.
