They are crazy not to. Every box of 50 rounds you shoot is putting a pound or so of lead into the backstop. At $1.33 a pound, there's gold in them thar full autos!

I don't care how boring it gets, it's still better than work!

honestly, I'm not sure. I think after 50k rounds you'll start to see a difference.

Anyone else find their XD45's so consistantly accurate that it's getting a little boring to shoot? It's like every time I take her to the range, it just keeps getting better and better but there's not much challenge any more.

There is hope on the horizon. A new challenge... Black Badge course for IPSC coming in September. So that will give me a whole new reason to be excited about my XD45 once again!

Anyways, just wondering if others felt the same way.

You must be Canadian.

I was watching a training DVD my Father brought by. They were teaching defensive shooting which in my opinion is what the xd45c was designed for. The trainer was saying that if all your shots were too close together . . . you were shooting too slow and should speed it up. There is a balance between speed and accuracy. Good hits can be within a 4-5" group as they are still well placed shots and the speed putting multiple hits on target are what make the difference.

Makes sense to me. We all know that one shot stops are a very low probability. We live in the real world . . . not hollyweird. I find myself doing more realistic defensive shooting these days instead of bullseye or target shooting. Those that have been there say that you shoot like you train.
