I shot USPSA this weekend with the G21SF. I have to agree, the G21SF does NOT feel as good in my hand. I couldn't find the front sight or get a solid grip on it during the first stage. However, by the end of the second stage I was getting the feel for it and by the end of the day I was "almost" back to normal. The Glock is absolutely different. I will say that the lower bore axis of the Glock gives less muzzle rise shot after shot. And where I paid $125 for an XD trigger job...an $18 OEM 3.5 lb Glock connector and I had a different trigger. Hard to beat. Now when I draw my XD my POA is low. Go figure. I have answered the siren song and fallen to the dark side.

My wife shot several pistols and chose the G19 for her. "I" feel, IMO, this is me talking here, that we need to keep our manual of arms the same. I want to be able to work on both. And, God forbid, in the event that we have NEED for our pistols I want either of us to be able to pick up which ever pistol is at hand and use it effectively. So, with that said, I am going to make the switch. The glugging sound you now here is me chugging the Glock koolaid. God forbid I drown in it.

Look for my, sniff , XD45 and all of my gear for sale in the for sale section. I have nothing but great things to say about the XD, having carried one or more for over 4 years. But in the end, I have to do what I have to do. At least my wife is now going to be armed. Amen to that!!

God bless and be safe.

The grip angle, as has been discussed, is everything to me. I have a G19 and I always shoot high with it. Thank goodness for the XD line up that allows me to shoot multiple handguns without having to readjust my grip.

I have owned 11 Glocks and 2 XD's. My last XD was a 45 Tac that I traded in for a DWPM7 that I wanted more. The Glock is not cheap or manure. The XD45 may have one upped the G21 in feel and handling but the SF closes the gap some. I had traded a G21 in for my XD45 Tac for the grip. The Glock like the XD is a gun that will go bang everytime the trigger is pressed. To compare this great weapon to manure is immature. The XD and the Glock are both great weapons. I know many dedicated officers that carry Glocks and stake their lives on them. Just my 2 cents.

PS: why don't you help vote out the anti Second Amendment a-hol$$ out of the government in your area and do the rest of us some good.

I tell ya' I have noticed not many people ever mention the finish on a XD as a down side. I love my XD9 and to be honest with you the world just isn't as safe when I dont have it. IMO even the new XD pistols the finish on the slide, the parts like springs, pins seem to rust very easy without the proper attention. I used to carry mine and noticed it happening alittle. my buddy carries his and all the pins rusted from the sweat and exposer to the elements. Glocks dont have that problem as bad. About the only thing on a glock that will rust is the barrel, slide lock, and maybe the extractor. Dont get me wrong I love my XD more than any pistol in my armory, but even superman has weaknesses.
As far as individuals claiming they can't shoot some other brand of firearm as well as another, I really cant relate. Im not a shooting champion or anything or am I trying to insult anyones abilities to shoot. I must be furtunate to be able to pick just about any hand gun and shoot it equally as well as the other. Line the sights up and BANG! I shot a 96 on the LEO firearms quals with my XD9 and a 93 with a Glock 17. Pursuent to that I have never fired a Glock. That was only the first go around with the Glock 17. I just never approached the Glock thinking that it was not as good or better than any other gun I have handled,... Well maybe a HI-Point pistol...LOL! I just did the only thing I knew how to do... Shoot. Thank God for allowing us to be subjective, Right?
