New member here and first time XD owner( I am waiting shipment) of my new member of the 45 family.
Here is what happened. I am a 3 gunner and IPSC L10 shooter using a 1911. I have been kicking around the XD idea for a while and when I realized that they hold 13 (supprised to see more than the 40) I figured it was worth a try since Im going ino open class in 3 gun soon. Anyway I had priced a new one and checked gun broker for new and used ones, I decided to check the USPSA classified ads and low and behold!! The XD of all XD's I think.
The ad was for a tactical. The guy said to go to Robar and its just like the one on the homepage, I went and looked, WOW!
Upon further investigation he had sent it to Canyon creek for internal work and then to Robar for texturing, beavertail, smoothing the trigger and a couple other things. Only diff in his gun is its a Stainless slide. He has sent several guns to Canyon Creek and Robar and I spoke to the guy at Canyon creek and the only thing he didnt do to the gun was add a tungston GR. I ordered one.
Anyway the ad on USPSA was for gun, 8 mags, El Paso belt, holster, and mag pouch. I will probably sell the leather. He wanteded $1200 and said he had over $1900 in it. He told me had only shot about 150 rounds thru it.
I think for once I did good,, did I?
BTW this looks like a nice forum and I will be hanging out more as I get into my yet to arrive toy for 3 gun.

If you're happy with it, you got a great deal. If somebody posts and says it was only worth $1000, then what will you do/feel?

Sounds like an awesome weapon. Post some pictures!

He put $1900 into it, put 150 rounds through it then sold it at a $700 loss, hmmm.

I agree with Bill. A deal is in the eye of the buyer. If you're happy with the price for what you received, than you have a good deal.

Ahhhhhhh yes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you feel it's a deal or a steal then go with it!!
