As others have stated, its going to be a personal thing.

As for me (and there are many here with a lot more experience than me), a good IWB seems to be about the best - and most versatile. I can wear it in winter with a jacket or outer shirt for cover, or its just as easily concealed under and untucked t-shirt. The T-shirt is my most common form of carry, since we don't have much cold weather. About the only time IWB won't work for me is in a swimsuit

I just ordered 3 K&D's! Two Dakotas and one mini-IWB. These have adjustable height and cant. You can replace the belt clips with several styles as well. Long wait though, 12-14 weeks!

Holster for all seasons

I guess I worded the question wrong.
In winter theres no problem, but summer wear CCW without the pistol being apparent in most cases is hard. So thats the reason I worded it that way, but since posting the question Ive solved the problem which is
a holster called Smart Carry.

havnt read the whole thread, so this may have been covered. There is no one holster for all seasonal clothing. What is comfy in summer is prolly not going to work in winter. and vice versa. I have upwards of 10 holsters for my XD. I always want the best combo of concealment/open carry, comfort, and accessibility.

Not Just One

As everyone says, you can't just have one holster!!

Just make sure they are not door stops the day you get em, i.e., buy a nice one. With that in mind, I have a couple from High Noon (6 months lead time)

http://www.highnoonholsters.com/

Have one on order from Tucker Gun Leather yes rl cmpany below (these appear to be works of art)

http://rlcompanyusa.stores.yahoo.net/

And others from DeSantis and Galco depending on what you want to do.

For an XD 45 I have a high noon Sky High (no strap) and it is amazing how it conceals the Service Model.

Unfortunately they will no longer be making holster for the Springfield XD.
