My XD.40 Service and XD.45ACP Tactical have neither experienced any malfunction to date, each have a couple thousand rounds at least.
My XDSc 9mm has had three failure to extract in 4,000 rounds, all three the same: fired shell halfway out of the chamber, extractor slipped off. One of them, the shell was split so it was a bad round. The chamber seems to be just a little tight, but for a 3" gun it's quite accurate. It's happened when dirty AND clean and I wasn't limp-wristing it (I've never even BEEN to San Francisco, ok? Really.).
