Mtac

Go with the Mtac over the Ctac. gives better coverage of the gun against skin.

Picked up the 5" compact myself yesterday. I too was wanting the 4" but am not dissapointed at all with this. Now looking on a 4 day weekend, I'm hoping to break it in.

My 4" compact was my first and only pistol... til i got two more!!
I love it. The flexibility of the 10 round vs 13 round mag with extension is great. It's like 2 guns in one.

That 10 day period is a PAIN . But I have you beat, I only have 7 days to go before I get my XD9 tactical. I think I will survive. Just will have to go shoot one of my 45s to get my fix.

Ok.. I give up. Why a 10 day wait? Even without a CCP, it's only 3 days here in Florida.

My XD .45 5" tac! Brand spankin new for $529.

I've been looking for this gun all over the place for months. The people who had it wanted over $600 for it. The places who sold it for less never had it in stock.

Finally... Finally!! All the planets aligned and I GOT IT!! WOO HOO!!

Between the gun, tax, background check and a few boxes of shells, it still turned out to be a $600 afternoon. But I got it!!

No idea how I'm gonna get gas to get to work this week or buy lunch... But I got my XD!!
Just picked the XD .45 4" compact up the other day for 506.00
cheapest I've found it anywhere

Anyone want to dive in and push me off the fence, one side or the other?
Body size may be the factor as the compact grip is shorter which makes it easier to conceal but harder to shoot. At least for me. I carry in a Blackhawk Serpa set for forward cant so I am not sure there is much difference in the mag print. Also at 5'10 260 I already have a lot of shirt blouse to start with. XXL shirts are the norm untucked during the summer.

Made my decision!

Last week I picked up a 4" compact... and a 9mm sub compact.

Have 100 rounds through both guns, LOVE THEM!

Thank you all for the posts, in the end the flexibility of the compact 45 won out.

It's a "Making California a safer place to live." thing. Just something different we have to live with to live in "The Beautiful State".
