Need help choosing snap caps for my Service

Any suggestions on which brand/model holds up and works the best?

What about snap caps that will work through the magazine? Any options there?

Thanks!

Buy from Pistol Gear!

Pistol Gear carries snap caps for your 45. About $15 plus shipping for a pack of five. They should last over 1000 dry fires each.

Get the A-Zoom snap caps. They are solid aluminum, except for the primer.
I have heard of some of the plastic ones shattering when the slide is racked.

I've got those now. Seem to do what they are supposed to.

I have a set of plastic ones and I have racked them 1,000's of times and never had one crack or break. I like them so I can do practice drills and being red they stand out and are easy to find in a pile of casings.

Dito on the A-zoom. I have them in .40S&W and 12g and they work great.

Another vote for the AZOOM's. Got them for my other calibers as well. Once in a while the rubber disappears and leaves them useless, but I just keep it as a master for setting the reloading press for RN.

A buddy suggested using an old case, a bullet, your reloading press, a piece of rubber, an x-acto knife and some crazy glue. Tried it and those seem to work good, too.

It's a pain to cut the rubber for small primer calibers though.
